| Object's Name: Fragment Amulet Inscribed, Greek, Human Image Period: Early Byzantine Material: Steatite Site: Bet She'an, T. Description: Probably a magical amulet depicting a reaper cutting several stalks
of grain with a sickle. The reverse side of the amulet bears part of
a Greek inscription. This type of an amulet was intended as a remedy
