Description: A figure of a woman made of carved bone. The figure depicts the head
with a slight suggestion of the nose. The location of the arms is
marked by two holes drilled into a horizontal small panel under the
neck. On the lower part of the body there is a hint of the feminine
genitalia above two wide feet. These dolls are thought to have served
as childrern's toys. This is based upon an example found at Nizanna,
wrapped with cloth made of linen and dated to the 7th century. These
"dolls are common during the Early islamic period.
