| Object's Name: Fragment Multi-Nozzled Lamp Period: Early Islamic Material: Soapstone Site: Ramla, esh-Sheikh Rihan Height: 3.79 cm Description: Part of a unique multi nozzle lamp, made of soap stone. The lamp
probably had about 12 nozzles arranged around a flat base with a
wall-shaped partition with holes for the cords. The upper part of the
partition has a rope decoration. Each of the nozzels is triangular in
shape with a drop-like opening. About a third of the lamp is extant.
round closed multi-nozzle lamps are known from the Roman and
