| Object's Name: Small Bowl Period: Early Islamic Material: Pottery Site: Caesarea Height: 4.5 cm Diameter: 14 cm Description: A small bowl with flaring rim and disk-shaped base. The bowl is made
of light yellowish-green clay with signs of straw on its surface. It
is decorated with wide, brush painted strips of green glaze and dark
brown blobs. The design covers the whole interior surface of the
bowl. This type of bowls with glazed decoration decoration is typical
to the Early Islamic period during the ninth-tenth century.
