Biblical archaeology (Chalcolithic, Early and Intermediate Bronze Ages), ancient Egyptian culture, Megalithic phenomena, landscape archaeology, ancient warfare and weaponry, theoretical approaches in archaeology
Ongoing research projects:
- Regional landscape archaeology at Ramat Bet Shemesh – human-landscape interaction in antiquity
- The EBIA settlement at Kafr Qana (publication project)
- Production of beer out of ancient yeasts found in pottery vessels dated between the 3rd–1st millennia BC (with the Hebrew University, Bar Ilan University and Tel Aviv University)
- Identification and study of ancient agricultural plots (with the Geological Institutes and various universities).
- Submerged monument and prehistoric/protohistoric sites along the southwestern shore of the Sea of Galilee (with the marine branch in the IAA).
