| Object's Name: Fragment Zoomorphic Vessel Painted Period: Early Islamic Material: Pottery Site: Ramla, esh-Sheikh Rihan Description: The rear part of a zoomorphic vessel made of buff clay, painted in
red slip and decorated in lines and patches of white slip. The use of
these vessels is still uncertain and it has been suggested that they
served as children's toys or vessels for feeding babies. This group
of vessels was abundant during the Early Islamic period, between the
