Description: Translation: Payment of 8 (drachmae?) to Kosiada (?) A promissory note The name Kosiada- contain the Idumaean theophoric element QWS. One of the common names in Maresha. By the end of the 3rd century to the beginning of the 2rd century BCE Greek seems to have been in common use among the inhabitants of Maresha. Both offical and private business was carried in the Greek language.
